Disco and Staircase - Preserving the patina of the Carinth Youth Hostel and bringing a breath of fresh air? The result is a concept that respects the building's history while simultaneously integrating the target audience of children and young people.

Instead of radically renewing the youth hostel and wasting existing materials, the design studio Identity Lab was commissioned to develop a concept to find new possibilities with them.

Identity Lab took on the challenge of integrating the patina of the Carinth Youth Hostel while bringing a fresh twist. The result is a concept that respects the building's history while simultaneously integrating its target audience of children and young people. The interior design was carefully redesigned, highlighting elements of the original architecture. Particular emphasis was placed on the sustainable use of existing materials and resources.
